Download .ccx v0.9.2, 94 KB

Every button, played through

Scroll and the playhead moves across the panel. Click any clip to jump to it.

  1. Nest

Turns the selected clips into one nested sequence, placed exactly where they were.

    1. Select clips on the timeline
    2. Press Nest
  2. Nest Each

Puts every selected clip into its own nested sequence. Clips that overlap in time, like a shot and its audio, share one nest.

    1. Select clips
    2. Press Nest Each
    3. Set the name template ({n} marks the number) and the first number
  3. Unnest

Opens a nested clip back into its clips and carries over their effects and keyframes.

    1. Select a nested clip
    2. Press Unnest

Speed changes and transitions inside the nest are not carried over.

  4. Adjustment Layer

Adds an adjustment layer on the free track above your selection, trimmed to exactly its length.

    1. Select clips
    2. Press Adjustment Layer

Needs one Adjustment Layer in the project once (File › New › Adjustment Layer). SDUI reuses it from then on.

  5. Flip Horizontal

Mirrors the selected clips left to right, without digging through the Effects panel.

    1. Select clips
    2. Press to flip, press again to remove
  6. Flip Vertical

Mirrors the selected clips upside down.

    1. Select clips
    2. Press to flip, press again to remove
  7. Fit / Frame

Scales the selected clips to fit the frame, so a 4K clip in a 1080p sequence shows whole.

    1. Click to fit
    2. ⌥-click to fill the frame instead
  8. Insta Safe Margin

Lays the Reels safe zones over the whole sequence, so captions and faces stay clear of the Instagram interface.

    1. Press to show the overlay
    2. Press again to remove it

It sits on the top track. Turn it off before you export.

  9. Freeze Frame

Inserts a freeze frame at the playhead. Its length is set in the panel settings, 2 seconds by default.

    1. Park the playhead on the frame
    2. Click to insert, ⌥-click to lay it on top without a cut

The frame is taken from all tracks under the playhead and saved as a PNG in an SDUI Frames folder next to your project.

  10. Left → Both

Lav recorded on the left channel only? Copies it into both ears on the selected audio clips.

    1. Select audio clips
    2. Press to apply, press again to remove
  11. Hard Limiter

Adds Premiere’s Hard Limiter tuned for voice to the selected audio: −8 dB ceiling, +10 dB boost, 10 ms look-ahead, 50 ms release.

    1. Select audio clips
    2. Press to apply, press again to remove

Install

Takes about a minute. You need the Creative Cloud desktop app, which comes with Premiere.

  1. Quit Premiere Pro

Installing while it runs can leave an old copy of the panel loaded.

  2. Double-click the .ccx

Creative Cloud opens and asks you to confirm a plugin from outside the Adobe Marketplace. Confirm it.

  3. Open the panel

In Premiere, Window › UXP Plugins › SDUI, then dock it next to Tools.

Updating works the same way: quit Premiere, double-click the new file. Panel not showing up? Restart Premiere once. Still missing, email me.
